BIOGRAPHY

Mehedi Hassan is an Analog design engineer with 22 years of experience in designing Servo Motor Controller for Hard Disk Drives and Optical Drives. The Products he designed include Sensors, Disk drive motor controllers, Optical disk drive motor controllers, Read Channels. His design expertise is in Motor Control drivers, Switch mode power supply, Trans-conductance amplifiers, Current mode circuits, Charge pumps, etc. He has broad knowledge in BICMOS process and ESD protection devices.

Prior to joining Slater and Matsil, Mehedi worked as design lead at Texas Instruments developing Servo Motor Control IC for Hard Disk Drives. Mehedi has led numerous design teams involving Servo Motor Control for Hard Disk Drive and Optical Disk Drives. Mehedi has been recognized as Member Group Technical Staff in 2000 and Senior Member Technical Staff in 2005 at Texas Instruments for his outstanding technical contribution and leadership. He has also represented his group in Tech Ladder Election Council and also as a member of Patent Council at Texas Instruments. He has presented numerous seminars and training inside and outside TI for Servo Motor Control Design, Optical Disk Drive design, etc. He has generated 10 US patents in various motor control, sensor and read channel design.

He was awarded "Golden Shoe Award" by JDRF Dallas for his fundraising effort in 2004.

EDUCATION

Mehedi Hassan received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka. He also received his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station. He was elected member in the PHI KAPPA PHI society.
