BIOGRAPHY

Benjamin E. Nise focuses his practice on all aspects of patent prosecution. His practice also involves patent opinion work, due diligence studies, and patent litigation support including infringement analysis and invalidity studies.

Benjamin's technical background includes 15 years of engineering experience designing analog, RF, and mixed signal integrated circuits for such commercial applications as television tuners, cable television transmitters, hearing aids, and cell phones. He is also the named inventor on six patents.

Having also been a member of the initial design teams of three venture capital funded startup companies, Benjamin has a first-hand understanding of the importance protecting intellectual property in fast paced, rapidly growing companies. Benjamin's engineering design experience, as well as his experience working with outside counsel on his own inventions, makes him uniquely perceptive to the needs of inventors working in challenging technical fields.

EDUCATION

Benjamin graduated summa cum laude with a degree in electrical engineering from Cal Poly, Pomona in 1991, and graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University's Dedman School of Law in 2008.

MEMBERSHIPS

Benjamin is member of the State Bar of Texas and is registered to practice as a patent attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is also a member of the Dallas Bar Association and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
